Wicked Winch of the West Lift-system troubleshooting Flagstaff’s lift-system is one of the easiest to operate and maintain of any pop-up camper. In fact, the lift-system can operate for years without any maintenance at all. However, lift-systems have parts and–even though salespeople don’t like to admit it–parts can wear down or break. Here are some tips to keep the camper popping up and down for years to come. The lift-system cranks harder than usual First check for any obstructions including an unlatched roof latch or gear loaded on a roof rack all items stored on a roof rack should be removed before raising a pop-up roof. If that’s not the issue it’s possible the lift system needs a tune-up. Locate the weep holes on the lifter conduit at each corner of the camper under the camper. Use an oil can to pump a small amount of oil motor oil works fine into the conduit. This reduces the friction of the push-spring against the conduit.

The hook is plastic coated so your bike doesn’t get any nicks or scratches, and it will fit any bike. Rated 5 out of 5 by Rabbb from All you need If you stand your bike vertically, this hook is all you will need. Going to invest in some better ones with a flat plate and four screws to make more secure. We do have some of the other hooks from the range for storing scooters and these are fine. Handy for storing multiple bikes in limited space garden shed without having them dumped on top of each other.

Rust bucket urchim said: White Rim is a fairly good example of the type of terrain to expect in The Maze. Some ledges, some steep parts, and some driving on the edge of big drops. There are areas of ledges and climbs but really, nothing all that technical or difficult. Your best route would be to try to make a loop out of your travels, and run either north to south, or vice versa.
The southern end has an entrance road from Glenn Canyon near the town of Hite. Alternatively you can enter through Poison Spring Canyon. We just did the Poison Spring route this past Friday and it was much more enjoyable than the other route in from the south, although they both are incredibly pretty. Your access to the north end of the park is from 24 north of hanksville to the Hans Flat ranger station. There is a junction north of the ranger station that you can take the road all the way to Green River.
As for how difficult, a stock tacoma is plenty capable with 4×4 to do the things in the Maze. It may get a couple scratches on the underside but there isnt anything that will test the truck too hard. I really enjoy the Neck campsite as well as Panorama point as both offer some of the best views in the park.

Nicola, If you do decide to diy then a good tip is to always take a photo of the wiring, object, whatever, before you do any dismantling, that way you always have a record of how it started out! Even a photo with a camera phone is fine as long as you can make out the detail. Warwickshire 01 Hymer If you have a continental van the the wiring may have a different colour coding to the UK.
Telford, Shropshire Check out O’leary’s first, they used to stock replacement flaps so no need to replace the whole fitment or get involved with leccy bits. Currently of no fixed abode.. Has the flap actually broke or has the plastic pin just sheared off?

In Puerto Rico Honda Dealer was out of stock. We were saved by this little wonder!!! Home Back Up Please rate overall 0 people found this review helpful, did you? Home Back Up Excellent performance and super quiet. This is a very small frame and very good stability and fuel economy. RV Power Quietest generator I have ever owned. Use it to power our R V. I really like the really long run time on a tank of fuel. The last generator I owned I had to fill the tank late at night and again early in the morning.
Well worth the price I paid. Home Back Up Bought this primarily to provide use during residential outages, especially for our sump pump!

This will be a nominal V, single phase, 50Hz supply, which is compatible with UK and modern European caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents, folding campers and tent hook-up connections. This electrical supply can be used either directly to power V equipment or indirectly via a power supply unit that converts the mains power at V AC to a nominal 12V DC, usually in conjunction with a leisure battery. This Data Sheet looks at how to use this electricity supply safely and discusses its limitations.
Because your unit is mobile there is a greater likelihood of things going wrong with an electrical installation than with the fixed installation within your house. It is therefore important you make sure your cables and equipment are maintained in good condition by simple checks every time you use it, by regular inspections by a qualified technician and also by using it in a sensible way.

At Brynhyfryd we offer the following: . ELECTRIC HOOK UP Please note these are 10amp hook ups. Fan heaters are NOT allowed as they overload the system. TOILET & SHOWER BLOCK Our modest amenity block has plain white fittings and is kept very clean.
The short answer is, why not? Unless we are in a terrible hurry, we hook-up to water, sewer, and electric. We do our darndest not to get in a terrible hurry. We retired to avoid terrible hurries. We have boondocked in many places and we are very open to stealth camping as well. Campground preferences include dry camping to full boondocking.
We actually prefer no campgrounds simply because we prefer the serenity and the ability of our dog children to run around without worrying about other campers. I usually leave the sewage hose stowed until then. More often we take electric and water sites which tend to be more available. We have also started to use the Harvest Hosts locations which offers no hook-up sites.
I love air conditioning. If I am on an extra long trip and I need more water, I carry a small water filter that I attach to my hose.

Typical RVs with a single air conditioning unit and more modest standards of provision need a 30 amp service. All RVs need an electrical hook-up box, sometimes called an outlet or receptacle, to plug into. Decide what level of provision the electrical hook-up box must answer. Hook-up boxes are available with single amp and single amp outlets, and with multiple outlets, featuring a amp outlet served by a amp breaker, a amp outlet served by a amp breaker and a number of amp outlets served by a amp breakers.

Please use only approved cables and run cables around away from vehicle or walkways as best as possible. If you connect two cables together the joint should be via approved connectors, covered against rain and supported off the ground.
To avoid overloading of the circuit breaker and consequential loss of supply please ensure that the total wattage of the equipment that you have switched on at any one time does not exceed this. Beware of using ordinary domestic kettles or fan heaters, some of them can draw over 10 amps on their own. To calculate the current amperage divide the wattage by the voltage v After pitching your unit, make sure that the isolating switch in your unit is off.

While it is true that hooking up the traditional way of plugging the camper into V will charge the battery through the converter will charge the battery. It does it really slow. It is just a trickle charger. This is fine if you are planning on running the generator for a while and have plenty of fuel for your stay. However lets say you are trying to minimize fuel used so you don’t have to run to town and are running everything off 12V no AC or other V appliances for and extended trip.
You may find that you have to run the generator less by charging the battery direct from the generator rather than relying on the converter to do so. Personally I don’t do it this way because we normally are running V appliances from time to time for instance during food prep.

What should I do before towing a trailer? Hooking up your trailer to your vehicle requires patience and attention to detail. As discussed in previous chapters, it is important to outfit your vehicle with the right trailer hitch , ball mount , trailer ball and electrical components. If you are not familiar with any one of these items, you should address it before towing. In this chapter, we will discuss the procedures for hooking up your trailer.
We will cover what to do if you have a friend to help you in the process and what to do if you do not have a helper. We will also go over the procedures for hooking up a 5th wheel trailer and a brief checklist of things to do before towing any trailer. How to Hook Up Your Trailer The first step when hitching up your trailer is to back your vehicle up to the trailer.
To make this easier, we recommend having a friend help you. Before starting, agree on a set of signals to indicate which way you should turn, when to back up and when to hit the brakes. Have your helper stand on the driver’s side of the trailer, about even with the trailer tongue, and make sure you can see him or her clearly before backing up. Backing Up Your Vehicle Step 1: Line up your vehicle in a straight line with your trailer. Having a straight shot to the coupler will make it much easier than trying to zigzag your way backward.
